Ministries - Week and Beyond

Beyond Sunday Morning

Our volunteers are using their gifts to serve the Church and the Scott Valley community.

SVBC LIBRARY

The SVBC Library, under the direction of Susan Houg , Leann Daniel and Diana Donahue, is a treasure-trove of Christian books and other media. There are many authors represented in our selections of non-fictional and fictional books. There is no fee, of course, to check out the books and materials, but you will need to check the details of the checkout with Susan. Also, if you are looking for a particular book or article, be sure to check with Susan – our church family is well-read and may have the item you are looking for and would be willing to share it with you. The Library is now available Online.

COUNSELING

As Christians, we all face trials and tribulations throughout our walk here on the earth. At times, these crises in our lives can become overwhelming. Perhaps you are dealing with issues that just can’t be sorted out – the SVBC Counseling Team might be able to help. Our counselors are all mature Christians with a wide background in counseling services and are ready and willing to help. Give the church a call at 467-3715 for more information.

COMMUNITY LUNCH PROGRAM

Serving the entire Scott Valley. SVBC provides a hot lunch every Tuesday from noon to 1:00 pm. To see the menu for a Tuesday, check our Calendar. A suggested donation of $3.00 helps us cover some of the costs. For more info, give us a call at 467-3715.  As always, we are looking for VOLUNTEERS . Opportunities to help include food prep, cooks, packing lunch boxes, cleanup and deliveries. If you have questions or can help let Susie Marshall know. Call the Church Office at 530-467-3715.

MEALS FOR THE HOMEBOUND

Under the direction of the SVBC Deaconess, meals are provided for those that, for one reason or another, are unable to prepare and cook meals for themselves or their family. Helping to ease the burden during times of recuperation from an accident, ill-health, or the birth of a baby, Meals for the Homebound’s volunteers provide hot, nutritious meals and are looking forward to serving you. Call the church at 467-3715 for more information.
