Ministry

Spiritual Gifts

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so, in Christ, we who are many forms one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. (Romans 12:4-6). There are a great number of needs in our Church Family and we are always looking for volunteers to help us out. Consider using your gift now in one of our ministries.

Sunday Morning Ministries

The SVBC Sunday School meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the classrooms. One Adult classe is currently being lead by Tim McNames and Buzz Lawson (Room 2).

The SVBC Junior Church meets during the last half of the Morning Worship service – usually from @10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Junior Church is open to 1st to 6th-grade children. In their activities, the children learn more about Jesus and the Bible. From time-to-time, plays, skits, and other events are rehearsed and performed by the Junior Church kids. ** Currently Junior Church is on Summer Break - we hope to return in the Fall **

THE WEEK AND BEYOND MINISTRIES

As Christians, we all face trials and tribulations throughout our walk here on the earth. At times, these crises in our lives can become overwhelming. Perhaps you are dealing with issues that just can’t be sorted out – the SVBC Counseling team might be able to help. Our counselors are all mature Christians with a wide background in counseling services and are ready and willing to help. Give the church a call at 467-3715 for more information.

After being on hold for the last year and a half, we are eagerly planning to resume the Lunch Program starting this September 27, 2022. To make this work, we are looking for VOLUNTEERS . Opportunities to help include food prep, cooks, packing lunch boxes, cleanup and deliveries. If you have questions or can help let Susie Marshall know. Call the Church Office at 530-467-3715.

MEALS FOR THE HOMEBOUND
The SVBC Library, under the direction of Susan Houg and Diana Donahue is a treasure-trove of Christian books and other media. There are many authors represented in our selections of non-fictional and fictional books. There is no fee, of course, to check out the books and materials, but you will need to check the details of the checkout with Susan. Also, if you are looking for a particular book or article, be sure to check with Susan – our church family is well-read and may have the item you are looking for and would be willing to share it with you.
