Praying about what to share for this Sunday and nothing came to mind. My “happy place” is a swing in our back yard that faces the area above KCOC. Gorgeous view! Thinking about how divided our country is, the song “Jesus is a Rock in a weary land” came to mind. WOW! The meaning of weary is: exhausted of strength, endurance and vigor.It has been said over and over that we as a nation are more divided than during the Civil War. Sad to say, but I think it is true. Everything that Christians believe is now deemed as narrow-minded, bigoted and obsolete. Jesus said that in the last days, right would be called wrong and wrong would be called right. I hope a part of this song encourages you as it did me. THE LORD’S OUR ROCK, IN HIM WE HIDE, A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM. SECURE WHATEVER ILL BETIDE, A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM. OH, JESUS IS A ROCK IN A WEARY LAND, A WEARY LAND , A WEARY LAND. OH, JESUS IS A ROCK IN A WEARY LAND – A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM.
May the truth of God’s Word in song encourage us all in these “weary” days.
