Our small group is in Chapter 5-6 of Hebrews and it speaks specifically about us growing in maturity. Verse 12-14 says: You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still and infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.” John Wetzig last week reminded us that we are Bereans………..those who studied the Word daily. A 30 minute sermon on Sunday mornings will open up the Scriptures to us, but to really allow it affect our behavior, we must refresh in God’s Word through reading it over and over. That is one of the benefits of small group settings. A time to ask questions and share concerns, something Sunday mornings can’t do. And let’s face it….we love Sundays because we hear the Word and see people who are very special to us. So be in the Word and if you are not in a small group, consider joining one this week.
John Wetzig will be in 2nd Peter again this Sunday……..so don’t miss it!
See you Sunday dm
