Through the prophet Joel, God gives a promise that reaches far beyond a single moment: “I will pour out my Spirit on all people.” This is not only a prophecy—it is a vision for what God desires His church to become. As we look ahead, this promise shapes how we live, serve, and move forward together.
First, everyone is called—no one spectates.
Joel’s vision includes sons and daughters, young and old, servants and free. God’s future for His church is not built around a few, but through many. Every believer has a place and a purpose. As we move forward, we believe God is calling our church to be a body where every person is equipped, engaged, and empowered to serve—not watching from the sidelines, but actively participating in God’s work.
Second, we listen first and then lead boldly.
Joel speaks of dreams and visions—clear signs of a people who are attentive to the voice of God. Our future must be shaped by listening hearts. We seek God in prayer, in His Word, and through the leading of the Spirit. But listening always leads to obedience. As God gives direction, we step forward with courage, trusting the Spirit to guide us into new opportunities, new ministries, and new expressions of faithfulness.
Finally, everything we do is for God’s glory.
The promise of Joel ends with salvation—“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The Spirit’s work is always about pointing people to God. As we move ahead, our vision is not growth for growth’s sake, but lives changed for God’s glory. Everything we build, every ministry we pursue, and every step we take is meant to make Jesus known.
My prayer is that we would embrace God’s vision for the future—fully engaged, Spirit-led, and united in purpose. When God unleashes His Spirit, may our church be ready to move forward in faith, for His glory and His mission.
With Grace and Love,
Pastor Brant
