The start of a new year always brings a sense of hope. Fresh calendars. Clean slates. A longing for something better than what was left behind. As we step into this new season, we’re reminded that God’s invitation goes far deeper than resolutions or self-improvement—it’s an invitation to transformation.
In 2 Corinthians 5:11–21, Paul reminds us that in Christ, “the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” This isn’t about turning over a new leaf or trying harder to be better. It’s about becoming a new creation—fully reconciled to God through Jesus and entrusted with a new purpose and calling.
Being made new means our identity is no longer defined by our past failures, our regrets, or even our successes. It means we live from a place of grace, forgiveness, and restored relationship with God. And it means we are sent into the world as ambassadors of reconciliation—living proof of what Christ can do.
As we begin this new year, I want to invite you to join me on a journey of being Made New. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live changed lives—rooted in Christ, shaped by His love, and sent with His purpose.
This year isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming who God has already made you to be.
I’m looking forward to beginning this journey with all of you and Invite you to come and see what it looks like to be a new creation in Christ.
Happy New Year to you all, and I hope to see you on Sunday.
With Grace and Love,
Pastor Brant
