I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord and the Scott Valley Berean Church family! The church board and I have agreed that I would serve as a part-time interim pastor while the search continues for the next lead pastor. That commitment officially begins January 1, but in the mean-time Debbie and I will be more involved in the church and community, preaching most Sundays, and will be available via phone for any church and personal needs.Â
I have been a friend of Scott Valley Berean Church for nearly 41 years, having been a pastor at the sister church in Grenada, as well as serving as Regional Fellowship leader for the Berean Fellowship. I’ve watched the ministry in Etna, and have been encouraged by my friendships with Wendell Seward, Bill Birch and Drew Travis. Now the Lord has granted us the privilege of a more personal ministry in the Scott Valley.
I’m praying that the Lord will strengthen His church during this interim time, and that the congregation will flourish even while searching for the next lead pastor. I will also be assisting the Board and the search committee in locating and evaluating possible candidates.Â
Thank you for the privilege of ministering with you.
