We will celebrate and remember our Lord’s death this weekend as we take the Communion elements. I often do not lead the Communion part of our worship service and some may wonder why. I believe that the elders should take turns leading communion as part of their responsibilities. It also gives them the opportunity to teach during the Communion service. What are the Biblical requirements for taking Communion? We believe there are two. You must be born again. Communion is not for those who don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The second requirement is the confession of any known sin in your life. It has been said that “confession is good for the soul”. Communion is a good time to do some “soul-searching”. In other words each believer can “examine themselves” and see if they have any sin that might require confession. The Communion table at the Berean Church is open to all. You need not be a member of the Berean Church. God Bless You See you Sunday.
