SVBC has an unusually well-stocked library, thanks to the commitment of Lynda Pollard over a period of some twenty years. We now have it on-line thanks to our trio of book lovers: Leann Daniel, Diana Donahue and Susan Houg.
We are now using a searchable online app called Tiny Cat/Library Thing. When you open the link, you will see details about checking out materials, a list of “tags” (key words) and other options.
It’s our hope that many more folks in our church will try this service and delve into the rich and diverse collection of theology, Bible studies, science and religion, inspiring biographies and memoirs, classic and modern devotional literature, discipleship/growth, leadership, missions, marriage and parenting, as well as a whole wall of fiction. We also maintain a small but growing section of DVD’s and audio books, as well as two shelves for children.
Your use of the library might be one stop on the way to purchasing a book elsewhere, or a resource to bring more to the table at your weekly home group, or an introduction to series authors you feel really “get” you.
Happy browsing, and we’ll see you in the library Sundays after church, or you can come in any day of the week the church is open for DIY checkouts!
