John the Baptist
It seems very strange that John the Baptist should wonder if Jesus is the Messiah. In Luke 3, John said, “I baptize with water but He will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Luke 3:16) John baptized Jesus and saw the Holy Spirit come upon him in bodily form like a dove. (Luke 3:22)
