Palm Sunday. We use that name to designate the beginning of what is often called “Holy Week.” It is the week that changed the world. Jesus had a specific purpose for his actions on Palm Sunday. This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Throughout the history of Christianity the Church has remembered the “Triumphal Entry” of Jesus into Jerusalem one week before Resurrection Sunday. The event is a strange paradox. On Palm Sunday the crowds are celebrating Jesus with shouts of “Hosanna”. A short time later the crowds were demanding the death of Jesus.
